"Can't seem to keep a pencil with your slate or keep it in one piece?"
"Get Your Slate Back Diving with You."
Do you need strings on your mittens in the winter
time? Why do you need a string on your pencil? It
doesn't work anyway. What you need is for it to
be undamaged and right where you put it last.
* Keep your pencil with your slate.
* Avoid broken ends and cracked shafts.
* Avoid a long lanyard that gets tangled in the coral and your gear.
How Does It Work?
SlateMate is a foam encasement. The encasement protects the pencil's point and the pencil itself. The foam compresses with depth maintaining a solid grip on the pencil; however, the pencil is always easy to remove and replace.
The pencil stays put. It will not get bumped loose. The encasement is on a short tether and will not tangle in hoses or on coral or parts of the boat.
Have you ever pulled the pencil out of those surgical tubing tethers? Not much fun getting it back in there, is it? Ever set you tank down on a dangling pencil and crushed it?
On the surface, the biggest problem with keeping a pencil is that the sun and heat rapidly dries out the pencil causing it to crack and then the lead falls out. The SlateMate retains water in the pencil allowing it to dry out slowly, with no cracking or damage to the pencil.
"Your pencil will always be ready to go when you are."
